An extraordinary variety of places invites us around Phippsburg and Casco Bay. Rugged wave-swept cliffs, velvety marshes, quiet creeks, extensive bays. Kayak trips – 3 Hours/$80 per person (3 person minimum)
NOTE: A minimum of 3 people is needed to initiate a trip; other people can then join existing trips as singles, doubles, etc. We offer these shorter trips so smaller groups of people can do a great paddling adventure on a budget. Seals, osprey, bald eagles and other wildlife are frequent companions as we tour the beautiful and interesting routes described below. Availability of routes (below) depends on the tides so please CONTACT US to see what’s available for the day you want.
Boatyard, Beacons, Creeks and Crags
Passing the rocky remnants of the shipyard that built the last square-rigged ship in the US, visiting an 1800’s Life Saving Station, and exploring marshy creeks and craggy islands are highlights of this very popular trip.

the Craggy Coast, Sublime Sand & a Harbor Hamlet
Paddle from a serene beach along Maine’s bold rocky shore, looking out over the island studded ocean and transiting a working harbor stuffed with lobster boats and wooden wharfs. (Maximum 4 guests)

Creek, Marsh and Beach ODYSSEY
The tidal creek we start in is barely big enough to hold the kayaks, but it gains volume steadily as we meander along its velvety grass-lined banks, eventually growing to a river. After various scenic visits we dramatically arrive at the wave swept beach. (Maximum 4 guests; there is an additional $25 car shuttle fee per group because we finish in a different location than we start.)

Beaches, Bays and Bastions
Studded with the portholes for Civil War cannons, the granite walls of Fort Popham loom over us as we head to the site of the 1607 Popham Colony’s primitive Fort St. George. Islands, beaches and the classic 1883 Hunniwell Beach Life Saving Station are among the possibilities on this trip.

“Doubling Point” and the BIW Destroyers
An awesome look at the Zumwalt “stealth” destroyer at the Bath Iron Works (BIW) shipyard from the water. And there’s the schooner at Maine Maritime Museum plus the lighthouse and lifesaving station at Doubling Point.
